The mobile app would also lead the user through each lesson step by step. The steps are near the top of the screen to let the user know how far along they are, and once they've reached the end the user is encouraged to keep searching and learning.
The printed book format keeps to the three column grid used in the homepage of the website, with an emphasis on visual presentation to keep a consistent feel across platforms and to promote understanding of what is described in the written steps. Each set of instructions has a large intro page with a hero image, to provide basic information and to make each instruction easily recognizable when flipping through the book.

HowHaus is a how-to service designed across multiple platforms (web, app, video and print). In order to achieve this, a visual system needed to be established, complete with branding, so that all of HowHaus' different forms could be cohesive. A three column grid was utilized for both web and print to organize steps in a clear manner, while the app design utilized a one column grid for ease of use.
